The school uniform at St Peter Chanel is designed to promote in every child a sense of belonging and pride in our school. Uniforms are available from the Uniform Shop located on the school grounds. The correct school uniform is as follows:
Girls
Blue check dress (Prep - Year 6) or blue check blouse with navy skort or short (Year 1 - 6)
White fold down socks (not sport anklet socks)
Black leather shoes
Navy reversible broad brimmed hat
Boys
Chambray shirt with waistband
Navy shorts
White socks (not sport anklet socks)
Black leather shoes
Navy reversible broad brimmed hat
Navy jacket and/or track pants
Sport
- Navy and white polo shirt
Navy shorts
House shirt - to be worn at Inter-house Sports Carnivals
White anklet socks with maroon SPC logo
Predominantly white sport shoes
The sports uniform is worn twice a week with the days being decided by the classroom teacher in consultation with the
PE teacher.
Hairstyles must comply with standards of neatness and safety. Extremes in style, cut or colour are not permitted. Hair at or below shoulder length is to be tied back with white, maroon or blue scrunchies, hair bands or ribbons. Short hairstyles will be no
closer than a Number 2 cut and shaved sections of the hair, including 'tracks', are unacceptable. Hair should be kept tidy and off the face. Suitability of any hairstyle is at the discretion of the Principal.
Make-up, including nail polish, is not permitted. Plain sleepers or studs may be worn; however, if choosing to wear these, only one small sleeper or stud in each of both ear lobes is essential. Wrist watches and a religious medal or cross are permissible. All other jewellery including wristbands, rings or necklaces, are not acceptable. Some jewellery may have to be removed for safety at sports events. A 'no hat, no play' policy applies at St Peter Chanel.
